My boyfriend went to boot camp 11.26.2014. Hardest part was our relationship is a secret.

It's been six weeks and I haven't heard from him... is that normal? He'll graduate on  01.23.2015, and his family is going up to see him.

I don't have any idea if not hearing for a navy recruit for this long is normal, (or if this is a harsh way of him saying we are through).

If anyone out there can help me it would mean so much to me...

Have you been writing  him?

I write every night, but I don't have an address to send them to.

Does he have your address and have you written to him? He is only able to write on Sundays, but he would have had opportunities to write at least 3 times by now and possibly also on Christmas Day since he would have had holiday routine on that day as well. Since you know his PIR date it would appear that you are in contact with someone who has his address.

He took my address with him... I know his PIR date because I called his brother. His brother said he didn't know his address, but it sounded like he might have it and just not know it.

If he did not accidentally send your address back in "the box" (it happens sometimes), then he has your address and will write to you if he wants to write to you. If you wish to send your letters, ask his brother for his ship and division number or at least the division number and then you be able to get the address based on information that is within the public domain.

Thank you... Ummm... I'm afraid to say this but.... I can't call again.... Just in the possibility he has ended us... I can't bear the thought of sending my letters letting him know how much I love him, if he moved on... 44 letters....  16 days till he can have his phone... right?

If you want to send him encouragement, then send one and save the others.

He will be able to have his cell phone after PIR and then again after he has checked in at "A" School or when he is at the airport if he is flying out to "A" School.

Our relationship was/is complicated. Requesting his information from his family would... complicate it even more...

I figured that since you were keeping it a secret. (BTW, when you find "the one" you don't want to keep it a secret for long.) You will just have to wait to see if he contacts you.

The reason we kept it quiet mainly was for me... my family would not approve and they are sometimes difficult to deal with. My boyfriend didn't want to me to have to deal with them while he was gone... I'm ok waiting but... as you know, it can be hard...

Thank you... it was touching to have someone like you take time with me... i hope all goes well with you.

I'm sorry to hear that your boyfriend hasn't written you. My boyfriend has the same PIR date and I started receiving letters 3 weeks ago. He may just be busy or accidentally have sent your address back home in his box. Hopefully you will be able to figure out what's going on when he gets his phone back. ):

I understand the whole parents making a relationship complicated thing; I've been there before and it's not fun! Is their main issue just with your boyfriend or would they react the same way if you were dating any guy? Feel free to send me a message sometime if you need someone to talk to.
