This group is for anyone who will be needing a ride between the airports and Great Lakes.  Sarge charges by the car, so the more of you who can share, the cheaper it is for all.

Please post the day you arrive, your arrival time, and the airport you are flying into .  That way, you can connect on rides. Don't think it matters too much if you all are staying at different hotels.  They are all relatively close in distance.

If someone is renting a car and has room to take some people arriving at the same time, that would be nice too!

Congrats on "something big"  That is very exciting!  Unfortunately, due to the nature of what our SR's signed up for, and where they are going, we won't get as much time as  we would like.  I am going to email Sarge (I don't really text)  and see what he does in our situation.  I know we are not the first so it is probably just the cost of the trip back and forth.  I will let you know what I find out.

I hope if we get snow, it isn't much, I don't want to worry about not getting there - I worry enough already :)

When was the last time you heard from yours?  I haven't had a letter in a week and a call in almost 2.  I know the no news thing but...

Sarge just emailed me back, whatever we need he will take care of us.  What a God send!

I will need to pay for two round trips to the airport. One for me because Im not leaving until Sunday and one to see my sailor off to A school. If anyone is also using Sarge to go to the airport in the wee hrs sat to see their sailor at the airport, I would love to share the ride and cost. I will be a party of two.

I plan on going to the airport to see my sailor off so would love to share a ride with you :)

Can you believe it is almost time to see them?  These next few days are going to drag...

I think my sailor will be heading to the airport at 1am! So, I'd like to go as soon as I can. Maybe 2-3. Is your sailor arriving that early as well? Will you be at the meet and greet?

Does Sarge have a cab or is it a shuttle?  If it is a shuttle, I would love to tag along.  If there is no room, maybe someone else needs to go as well.  I will be a Sarge's.  I hope you don't mind me cutting in on your conversation.Mine said he would be headed there around 2 ish, but I will have to wait til he calls.  I am at the Ramada as well.

Hi navymom-the more the merrier!  Where is yours headed?  I am staying at the Ramada also.

Thanks!  Mine is a Nuke and headed to SC, so I would imagine that Sunshine's would be going out of the same place.  Time will tell.  Are you going to the m & g at the Ramada?  I would like to go to both but not sure.  I don't have access to a computer or internet once I am there so I will have to rely on good old fashioned word of mouth.  When are you coming in?

Congrats on the Nuke!  I so want to go to both!  Same here not bringing the laptop and not a smartphone person LOL!  I want to be there by 4pm Thursday.

Just read a post on the bootcamp group from B-ready who was at 3/1 PIR-about the airport time.  Sarge actually knew that her Sailors flight had changed and got her to the airport at the same time as them so she could get right through security with him!

That is awesome about Sarge.  I hear nothing but great things about him and what he does for all of us and our sons/daughters.  I am looking forward to my 2 hour drive from the airport to my hotel so I can ask lots of questions (I am using Sarge for that shuttle too).

A 2 hr drive from the airport?  Unless you hit lots of traffic, I would think that the ride from Midway would be only an hour or a little more (if traffic).  Although with Chicago traffic, you never know!  The ride from OHare would be about 35 to 45 minutes to GL.

If it is just an hour - I would be good with that.  How long do they get at the airport, as a general rule?
