This group is for anyone who will be needing a ride between the airports and Great Lakes.  Sarge charges by the car, so the more of you who can share, the cheaper it is for all.

Please post the day you arrive, your arrival time, and the airport you are flying into .  That way, you can connect on rides. Don't think it matters too much if you all are staying at different hotels.  They are all relatively close in distance.

If someone is renting a car and has room to take some people arriving at the same time, that would be nice too!

Not certain yet but think my son will be flying out of O'Hare. Is yours?

He didn't say which airport he is going out of.  Where is yours headed?  I'm staying at the Ramada and plan on going to Sarges-as long as my ex doesn't go.

Mine is going to SC. Sarge said more than likely O'Hare but my son hasn't told me his flight plans yet except that they will head to the airport at 1am. I'm staying at Springhill Suites and will be at Sarges meet and greet. I really hope you come. Just stay on opposite side of the room from your ex!!!! Sarge is going to give a lot of info that we need. Where is your son flying to?

I know it would really bum me out to have met everyone here and not get to put faces with names at Sarges. And all the great inside info. Mine is headed to Pensacola Fl.  SC is that for subs?

No, it's Nuke school. He will be there two years if all goes well. You really need to come to Sarge's!!!! Have you gotten the Sailor call yet? Mine should come next week and hopefully then he can give me flight plans.

Nice!   Yup I am a lucky 107 mom!  Your call will come this week :)

Mine was so tired all he could tell me was he got his orders-nothing about flights.   I think they have to keep that info very quiet.

Well they can't keep it secret for too long, we need to make plans!!!!! Hoping we will be at same airport and can share the ride.

Moms + plans = everything is taken care of! That would be great if it works out for us-I am sure we will be joined by about 1000 other moms!

Have you talked to sarge about needing a ride to see your sailor?

Not yet-I am driving to Great Lakes so I will have my car-just not sure if I want to trust myself not getting lost on the way to the airport in the middle of the night!

On the other hand-if I have a few people who care to co-pilot and keep me from getting lost...

I'd be happy to ride with you but not sure I'd make a very good copilot!!! The ride to O'Hare is not expensive, especially if we split it. I've already talked to him.

That was kind of my thinking-between trying to get there and then the emotional ride back to the hotel.  Did you get to see your SR fly out to GL?  I was good until they called for military passengers and he stood up and turned to walk to the gate.  Major flood!
