Hi - unable to find commemorative coin for Ship 02 - 910 division.  I have seen some discussion but am unable to find a link to where to get it.  I went on EBay and it comes back with no matches for the USS Reuben James.  Please let me know if anyone has a link to get a coin for this group.

Thanks so much!

Hi. If you search for Navy Challenge Coins Ship 2 you will be able to find one. The seller is pirgifts. I bought one for my son and they are really nice.
Also the Facebook page for PIR 1/18/2013 cara Nelson has a link that she posted on 12/11. Hope that helps

Challenge coins from the RTC are available at the NEX and online and the Challenge coin for the Ship your recruit is on is available on eBay through pirgifts (clickable link). Craig designs them.  They are for the Ship, not the individual division. Here is the link for the Ship 2 coin, US Navy Recruit Training Command Challenge Coin ~ USS Reuben James .... My Sailor told me not to get him a Challenge Coin because he wanted to keep that for those who give it to him within the service and not me. You have to decide what is right for you and your Sailor. One mom bought a few for her Sailor to give to his closest shipmates.

Thanks everyone. I found them with all your help.

So, is there such a thing as an "official commemorative coin" website? I've seen a bunch of different ones, but I'd like to know which ones might be recommended?

Challenge coin from the RTC are available at the NEX and online and those for the Ship the recruit is on (Craig designs them) are only available on eBay through pirgifts (clickable link). The RTC coin is sometimes included in the Recruit Care Package (clickable link); you could call or email (enlistedrec@mwrgl.com) and ask MWR.

This is pretty vague...

great way to say "Congratulations" to your recruit upon completion of the Navy's only boot camp and Pass-In-Review. This care package is filled with all the stuff to help your recruit enjoy his/her weekend liberty...which is well deserved! For a full list of care package contents, please ask when calling to place your order.

I bought a coin at his PIR. I assume it's the same one. I was checking through the NEX yesterday and didn't see it, but may need to look closer. Looking for one for San Diego and possibly his ship, although I doubt his ship has one. Guess I'll contact Craig.

Thanks.

I know that is vague; I liked it when MWR listed what is in the care package, but I guess the items included can change based on availability.  They will tell you what is currently included if you call or email them though.

The coins for the Ships at RTC are all available or soon will be through pirgifts. There are coins for just about all of the actual ships/vessels out there and most bases have coins as well, you just have to do a web search and then check for the best price.

Not necesssarily looking for the best price. Some coins I've seen look cheap, and some look very cool. The one I bought at his PIR was very nice. Also a lot cheaper than what I'm seeing for online.

https://store.nwtmint.com/Navy/ has coins for the bases as well as the vessels.

Here is one site I found, https://store.nwtmint.com/Navy/.

Thanks for that; I'm sorry I mistakenly gave misinformation. Perhaps the site will help others.  There are other sites out there that may have other vessels; that is just one I found that had good ratings.

(My Sailor doesn't want me to give him any challenge coins and yet I have found myself researching sites several times.)
