My darling daughter leaves for boot camp July 29th to begin her career as a Naval Hospital Corpsman, and honestly I feel like my emotions fluctuate as much as they did when I was pregnant with her!! One minute I'm crying another I'm laughing!!  Have to honestly say I don't know what I am going t do when she is gone!! If this is how I feel while she is still home what the heck am I going to be like when she is gone!!

Craig is so right. My son leaves on 7/1 and yes I have those moments too. One friend at work said I should go see a Dr about my problem. It made me laugh because after all the reading I've done, I know that I'm not the only one feeling this way. Watch the bootcamp videos. Read about what the recruits will go through day to day. Read everything about your daughter's rating. You will be empowered. Dont get me wrong, I get tearful over songs that come on the radio and then other times I'm overwhelmed with pride. I still tear up when I tell people my son is going into the Navy. But, I learn more every day and it is preparing my heart. I'm excited for my son to begin his journey in life and what better way than in the US Navy! Sure I'll miss him tons, I'll miss going to all of his marching band performances and even miss harping on him to quit playing video games and get his chores done. But I know he had made the best decision for his life and I can't wait to live through it with him.
