Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi All,
As graduation (HS) and my son's ship date, very early July, looms on the horizon we are getting some unreasonable (IMO) requests from the recruiter. THey told him to lose 15 lbs in 5 wks, he lost 20lbs, The other request is getting state test scores. (WASL) they don't release the scores until June, shortly before graduation. Our recruiter is telling us that if she does not get my son's scores with in the next week or two she's is going to have to end his contract. Needless to say my son is devestated, and doesn't understand why he is going to be penelized for something that is out of his control. It goes without saying that I am HEATED by this.
I know she's trying to cover her own butt, I get no where talking to her and I have no idea who her superior is, how can I go about finding out?
Please help, my son has been looking forward to this since last summer,and has been wanting to join the military since 8th grade.

In every part of life, everyone works for someone. The only one that doesn't is the guy upstairs. So as a concerned mom, call the zone supervisor and say you have a general question and ask if it's normal to ask for scores that are impossible to get until June. If you don't like the zone supervisors answer, then move up to the Command Master Chief. If you don't like his answer then continue to move up until you talk to the Commanding Officer. You will get an answer....
