Welcome to the discussion group for division 821.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division.  Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division.  Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

We received a call also yesterday.  He called once, and we all spoke to him for about 10 minutes, then after calling his girlfriend he called us back and we spoke for nearly a half hour.  We heard the same, that their division is doing great.  He keeps saying what a great group of guys that he is with.  Can't wait till the 5th!

So happy to hear more of you are getting phone calls!

I have read our letter over and over and it makes me well up with pride every time.

SO looking forward to PIR. although the thought of seeing him in uniform slays me :)

We got a call last night also... said they aced the marching test so they got to call home. So much more upbeat this time than the last call. He said they had their pictures taken last week in the dress uniforms and had to laugh because he said he looks pretty darn good in them. Cant wait to see them. He was looking forward to their training this week and said they are getting into the fun stuff now. WOOOHOO not too much longer till we get to see them.

He sent me flowers today:) I was sooooo excited and surprised!!!

What a lucky lady!!

And clearly you raised him well :)

that is so sweet NavyNiksFiance. What a wonderful thing to get :)

Thanks for the info I've found on this site.  My biggest quest was to figure out what to wear =)

For those worried about differences in phone calls and/or letters - our SR do have to stand watch and perform other duties.  Some will miss out on phone calls because they came up for duty.  Others will just be using writing time for sleeping.  I attended boot camp eons ago, and I often started out writing then found myself waking up with only "Dear Mom" written.  Others will "win" extra phone calls by exceeding in PST or exams.  Know that they love you and can't wait to see you.

Getting so excited....10 more days until we see our boys!!!...no call this past weekend, but I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Has anyone heard anything about BS times. Send private message to me if you have please. Hope everyone is doing well...Best luck to our boys in these last two weeks before they begin their next journey.

I'm getting so excited that I have "print off base pass" in all caps on my desk calendar for this Friday!  Got my mapquest all ready and starting to organize all the stuff my kid wants to have day 1 of liberty!

Safe travels to all next week.

I wonder if that is the same for the entire division?

My letter today said nothing about that yikes I wonder as well if it depends on what spec op area they are going into! So excited for PIR!!

We just received a letter also yesterday, and was told the same 1 week in Chicago, but that has changed several times leading up to now.  They were told the 8 weeks at GL was in stone earlier.  Now they will be doing administrative work for this one week.  This is for SWCC.
