Oh wow, I actually think I may know this one. You know the arrow type seam that accentuates your bust line on blouses....that's a dart. I'm sure there is a better explanation...but remember "non-sewer" here.

Spongie if you want in on the Colorado Gathering via speaker phone you best PM Kathy or I your number. Carol's Kitchen is onboard with us so she'll be getting a call. We need some spongie love for all these new (and old) Colorado Moms.
UM hee.. ok... what do you do with it? the dart i mean.....
OK--who all got crazy calls from Colorado today?!!!! It was hilarious. Best laugh I have had in a couple of weeks, and we laugh a lot as lunch room ladies.
Thanks and I can't wait to see "my picture" of the speaker phone call---lol
Brenda Sue,
got my pattern and wrap today. thanks! I am busy with pillowcases at the moment, but will get some made. did we ever decide on the fabric? can it be something other than camo?
Chris-you described a dart perfectly. They are also used in fitted skirts and pants.
How do I go about in receiving a pattern?
Are the Freedom Wrap made of 100% cotton or cotton and spandex?
My hubby is a biker and wears the do rags under his helmet and says the cotton and spandex (I thought he said spandex) has a better fit/feel.
Does anyone know if you find a cotton spandex, does it use a special needle on your sewing machine?
You do need to use a ball point needle with spandex fabrics Carol. I believe Jo Ann's has some, But may be pricey.
I need a pattern..I think spandex would be to hot in those hot months...
Mary Helen
for spandex, I would think you'd need to use a ball point needle. I think a regular one would be hard sewing. and it would probably be hot depending on the thickness of it.
hubby says the do rag with the spandex helps absorb sweat better than the cotton alone. and by the way the one he has is 92% cotton and 8% spandex.
good information Karen, thanks for checking with your hubby.
OK.. Now that I have the explaination of it... umm what do you do with it exactly??
