Whether you like it or hate it, today is the day that the military allows openly gay military service members to serve.

Craig, I appreciate your honesty.  I also love your comment about a work of art.  I have to tell you, I've never understood the guys wanting to watch girls together, because I think waaay less than 10% of girls would want to watch two guys.

And like Anti M said, I don't think many gay guys hit on straight guys.  They know who's gay.  And I don't care what anyone says, it's not a choice, it's something you're born with.

Then don't read it.  Freedom of speech includes a freedom not to participate.

Nick's Mom - You are totally correct, I do have a lack of taste, disrespect and common decency.

Please tell me something I don't know...

Should we talk about Puppies and Rainbows?  Oops... We can't do that, because rainbows are the symbol of gay pride, and someone might get offended....

Everyone has a view about something, and just because you might not agree with it doesn't mean it shouldn't be discussed.  I realize it was your sailor, and not you, that is defending the constitution, and America's freedom of speech.  With that freedom, comes responsibility.  If you don't like what you are viewing, then you have all the rights in the world to turn the page, and move on to something that you do like, But obviously you chose to read everything up to this point. Don't you have the control and the will-power to move on?

I can tell by your post that you're not a very religious person, nor am I.  However, I do believe in the bible, and whatever has been said here is no worse than what is written it the bible.  So.....

Here is my guess.  I bet you'll be looking at this post tomorrow.  I bet even though you are offended & flabbergasted (I haven't heard that term in years), you will still be back because your curiosity got the better of you.  Maybe you need to do, what I'm about ready to do, that is to get laid.  Just like a sailor, I need to stand my duty.  The bible says I can.  I must admit, I wished my 4 section duty was only 3, 2, or even one section duty.  The duty swap is out of the question though, that goes into the area of adultery, which is spoken a lot in the bible too.

See you here tomorrow....

Corinthians 7:2-5.

"But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. The husband should fulfil his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."

Oh dear, now we're getting the religious bit. I happen to be a devout Episcopalian with many gay friends at church and my attitude is that Jesus told us to "love one another". He didn't say "unless they're black or green or gay or straight or somehow different" and since I don't believe God makes mistakes I also don't believe people can help being gay any more than they can help the color of their skin. The Bible says a lot of things, not all of them very nice, so I think we need to be compassionate in all things and follow the teachings of Jesus and love one another (regardless). And by the way, St. Paul didn't particularly like  women so I'm not inclined to pay too much attention to him.
I believe Craig said that he is NOT very religous...but that he believes in the Bible.

Actually, I should have never brought the bible into this topic.  I actually can see I made one too many quotes from it.

I mean we could be here talking for hours about "I think we need to be compassionate in all things and follow the teachings of Jesus and love one another (regardless)."   Again, until the various churches have Jesus and Judas on the alter together, giving each other a high five, or a bear hug, then I will definitely rethink my thoughts.   But, religion is a seperate topic way on it's own.  I just wanted to show where I was coming from.  It wasn't meant to be some sort of fire-and-brimstone sermon.  Much like everyone else, I had voice, and wanted to share my thoughts.

Per the religion thing, just like the middle east, where the people have been fighting and killing for over 10,000 years over religion.  The only thing the world has ever learned is how to kill people.  Killing people is the only thing mankind has ever perfected, we have it down to a science.  We have sliced, diced, electrocuted, drawn & quartered, poisoned, shot... I mean the list just goes on-and-on.

And I think that says it all..Good pic Denise
Awesome pic Denise!!!!  That does say alot....
