Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

got my first couple of lettters in the mail 2day & my son is doing great :) so happy to hear he just fine  , no scheduled phone call yet but im sure that will be real soon hopefully today it is the 3rd wk 2day...lol i have the phone at my side so i wont miss a thing :) hope you all have recieved your letter or letters already ,if not you will real soon , happy reading to all :)

Congrats on your letters. Whew, huh? it seems like forever until that first letter comes. I carried my letters in my purse the entire time my son was there until I got the "sailor" call.

You will cherish those letters forever. I got chills just seeing his hand writing. It became a competition to see who could get to the mail box first. Just getting a letter from out sons/daughters so far away is such a comfort. Enjoy them and read them over and over.
oh wow you really took the words from my mouth , i so feel that way , the feeling is like no other i think i read them at least 3 or 4x & i just got them i cant stop going over them to just have that little bit of connection ...:) yes & it ws such a relief to get a letter finally :) & yes i put in my purse so i can have them with me at all times.. now just waiting on the im half way thru mom call :) cant wait to hear his voice again i miss him so much my heart still aches , i dont think it will ever stop it jsut gets easier i guess :) thanks tnnavymom for your comment :) it really helps to have other moms to talk to you because you really do undrestand what im going thru :) thanks again kimberly

I believe our first phone call was for about 40 minutes it was a good one
very kool , well im in school @ nite i already warned my fellow colleagues that if i run out of classrm that im going to talk to my son ::):) & of corse my teacher is now aware i may be gone for awhile talking on the phone :):)...lol i cant wait for the phone to ring:)

So glad to hear you got your letters!!! Such a relief isn't it. I got one today as well and I don't think the smile has left my face all day. My heart is light again.....for now :) Maybe we will get lucky and get call too.....that would be over the top!!!
yes such a relief :) now i want to hear my sons voice & talk to him for a bit that would be(the icing on the cake :)well im happy for us that we got our letters :) now we need to hear the phone ring with them on the other end:) :)
