Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Got the Kid in the Box yesterday.
I received all of my son's belongings yesterday and it made me cry! He arrived at bootcamp Tuesday and I really didn't expect his stuff for a week. How long does it take before family receives a letter from them. I am so proud of him but as our last and 8th child to leave home I must confess feelings a little empty. Thanks.

Hi ladies, My daughter also arrived at BC on Tuesday the 10th. I got her 30 second call that night. I was wondering when will i get the box, the letter etc....:( So proud but a tiny bit stircrazy! lol.....any guesses on PIR date?

the box comes quick, within 3 days. I wanted to see a note pr something but oh well, just his dirty clothes! Waiting for a letter now, i read it will come after their first week.

I got my son's box yesterday as well. He got to BC on the 10th and have anxiously waited for anything. I walked into the house, saw the box and burst into tears. He is my only child and am so proud of him. Just miss him terribly.
