For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Q.How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?A.
Four seats are guaranteed per recruit; however, children 12 years old and younger do not count against the four-guest maximum. The graduating recruit is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your recruit via letters regarding who will be on the access list. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS. All visitors must have valid photo identification. This requirement includes children (school ID, Social Security card or copy of birth certificate). Please be aware that security may deny base admission to guests NOT on the access list if they are not accompanied by a guest who is on the access list.

Also your PIR has 13 divisions PIR, which is large...the odds are slim to get extra people in to PIR.

Our experience was that there were extra seats so we got to have extra people there. If they do not reach capacity which in my opinion has to be hard to do they allow extra people in. My hubby also had a friend put my brother on his list but we had two extras after that. We just planned for them not to be able to see graduation just in case they would ride the shuttle back to the hotel and see him afterwards, but luckily they were let in as well. make a plan, but always make sure you have plans B and C ready too...

Our son was able to find four extra slots that were available from three different sailors in his div. Have your sailor ask around and see if his friends have openings. If he finds an openning, he'll have to write you with the sailor's name because your daughert be that sailor's guest at PIR. It worked much better having our sailor find an opening from those in his div than having us ask the smaller percentage of active family members on N4M.

I agree with the other posts 200%. My son had 12 divisions graduate and there were still seats available on the second level.
I see you are from Seattle! We are also, and we drove to PIR back in May! Are you driving or flying? Either way, safe travels and know that RDC will do their best to accomodate your extra family member!
