For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

GRADUATION
someone just told me that the graduates could only have 4 guests for the graudation...is this true? if additional guests come they will have to wait somewhere and when everyone is seated then additional people can go in, first come first serve...not being guaranteed that they would have a seat...

That is true, and you should let your recruit know what 4 people to put on the guest list, when you write to him/her. If its a big class there are a lot of guests, small class you may have a better chance. There are a lot of recruits that dont have anyone at PIR for many reasons.

Yes, it's true, but it's not really.
You can put 4 people's names on the list, however, the others will just have to wait a bit to get in. If you know how many and who will be attending, you might ask your SR if they can get the people added to someone else's list. It didn't seem like that big of a deal. It's a very big place.

The larger the PIR group, the less likly to get extra people in. So check with how many divisions are PIRing and that will tell you the odds of getting extra people in.
Also it is up to the Recruit who gets put on the list, as they are the only ones who can update and change the list

OK, just to correct my statement, ask your SR if they can ask another SR if they have any room on the list. I know when we were there, there were people on our SR's list who I had no idea who it was. Since it was only the two of us, another SR used our spots.

Q.When will I receive tickets/passes to graduation?A.There are no actual tickets or passes. Recruits list the names of up to four guests that will be included on the access list. Recruits cannot obtain additional “tickets” from other recruits.
Q.How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?A.Recruits are permitted to place up to four names on the access list. Please coordinate with your Recruit as only Recruits may place names on the list. RTC can neither change these names nor release the names of those on the list. Children age 12 and younger do not need to be listed on the access list and will not count toward the maximum number of guests. Active Duty and Retired military personnel will not count toward the maximum number of guests and do not need to be listed on the access list, but must present a valid Active Duty/Retired military ID card. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed. All guests 18 years and older, must present valid government issued photo identification (driver’s license, state ID card, passport, military ID card). Guests 17 years or younger who do not possess one the items listed above must present one of the following: school ID card, driver’s permit, copy of their birth certificate or social security card. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS
