Does anyone know if the new member issue has been resolved?  I know it was mentioned that there were some issues with the website and they would not be accepting new members for a time.  I've sent messages to the N4M admin and can't get a response from anyone.  Do we even have an admin for the site any more?  Anyone know anything?

No, it has not been resolved. No new members have been added since 19 May and I am aware that there are new members pending approval. Others have mentioned not receiving a response from Erin or a N4M Admin as well.

It's been really hurting the NavyForMoms weekly PIR groups. What use to have 90 members each week now only has 15 (6 of which are group admins). Now the only place that members can interact is on the Facebook PIR groups. Sad seeing a great website like NavyForMoms going though this. Makes me wonder since the membership is close to 100,000 if that has something to do with it. Currently it is 99,976 members

This floats downhill to the various rating group then. Groups like he Airdales, Nukes, HM's, MA's are getting smaller..... I bet since the Navy is not offsetting to cost to maintain the website it is dieing a slow and painful death. Just guessing....
Wonder if maybe the admins should delete users that, say haven't been active in like so many years? Maybe send a mass email to all members confirming they are still interested in staying or even how many email addresses are no longer good. I don't know much about the IT part of websites but I have accidentally commented or posted a question to something I didn't realize had been posted several years ago. Maybe those things, while maybe not outdated since someone may have a question along those lines still, but maybe those could be removed to help keep things up to date? Just a thought.

It would also be a good idea to delete all the groups that are more than a year old that just have one member.

I agree - clear out the old inactive groups and remove people who are no longer active.  They can always "re-join" if they want to.

The only thing about removing members is that if you remove a member, then things that they have posted are gone as well--sometimes a good thing and sometimes not.

Very frustrating.....and even more so that I can't get a response from any admin....I hate to see this happen.  I know our nuke mom's group has picked up a few new members but only because they were able to join N4M before the cutoff happened :(

I just saw that the admin was online & sent another message.  Hopefully will hear something back!

New members just added!!!! I'm sure that it will take a while for pending members to be added though since these are the first new ones since 19 May.

WooHoo - that's fantastic news!!!!

Yes, it is. Hopefully they have been checking out the site while they have been waiting to be approved.

I guess it was a little premature celebrating.  No new members have been added again since 6/30......
