For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

The shuttles are at the hotels, did you rent at a hotel with shuttle service? The times will be posted in the lobby of the hotel. I would go at 6:30 (I did) It is easy, but you also go on the shuttles schedule and have to leave base when they are ready. There is no reserve seating, its on a first come first serve basis. Be sure each person has ID's with them, they will match their names to the names on the list your son gave to them. There are lots of seats in the drill hall. Sorry I cant help with the pizza, but it is very easy to take the train into Chicago for all the choices of a big city. The train station is right next to BC.

kathy, hi its terri again. need to call hotel to see about shuttle. i called RTC they said for me who can not sit nor stand long lenghts of time. she said when we get there grad. show my proof of disability and me and only 1 other person can sit with me. i am not in a wheel chair yet, thank you lord but use a cane. i walk with a limp because all my back operations left me with nerve damage, lucky me hugh! if i use a wheel chair i could completely loose all the use of my legs. thank you so very much for all your info. Bless you again, terri

hi angie, its terri. thank you for the pizza ideal, i guess chicago style since we will be there.uno's sounds great. my husband is from italy, pizza isn't real big there like the states. we own a pizza, carry-out and grocery&meats store. our pizza are from scratch, have our own cheese-we grate by hand, make home-made sauce and fresh veggies, home-made sausage, also pepperoni. we are more expensive than others but even with resession we have been so very busy. thats why i am disabled, watched children-3 of them daily, then off to work for 8-9 hrs. it torn my back apart because i am small. if you are ever in maryland, look us up (scittino's) in catonsville. my kids are all adults now, girl 27-teacher. naval son-24, and my baby in college-21. there are alot of good women on this site, but thank you for your response. sincerely and God Bless our children
