OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

HM or MA...Second Thoughts HELP!!!
Hi everybody I hope you can help me with your experiences here...I know this is not a recruitment site but my situation is this: Im 32, single, legal permanent resident (green card holder), foreign MD (doctor) but I live here in the states I couldn't validate my degree here, so I decided to study a Master Degree in Homeland Security at AMU, I passed the first course in 2011 and I quit, my goal is to be an officer and I can't do it now because I can't validate my medical degree here so I chose an alternative pathway (Homeland Security master degree) my only option now is join as enlisted finish the masters and apply for officer program in the HS area...but because my medical expertise I don't know what to do, additionally I won't like to do the 3 months HM school than the 7 weeks MA school bc HM school is to see all over again and I don't have the mood to do it (medical classes) Im fluent in english and spanish I have a license for medical assistant, plebothomy tech, EKG tech but I think medical side is not the correct way now...I don't know...I know is my personal decision but I need some encouraged answers and advises Im split in twice...I'll join soon. Thanks

You just have to decide what is best for you. Look closely at what you want and go from there.
Your post suggests that you have done some research already, but I'll give you some more info and groups to check out.
The Rating Information Card for MA can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ma.pdf and the one for HM can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/hm.pdf; it indicates 19 weeks, but "A" School is 14 weeks after classing up.

My Sailor enjoys being an MA most days, but it is not for everyone. I'm sure the same can be said of HM.
