Hole in Eardrum...Anyone been thru this and got medical approval?

My son is in the medical review process I guess with MEPS (don't know alot about the process).  He had a pinhole in his eardrum which was surgically repaired and is completely healed now.  Pressure test and hearing test were perfect.Recruiter said medical paperwork is in review in Washington DC and he's awaiting response.  Has anyone been thru this before?  Was son/daughter medically approved?

My son went through this but and this is a big but it was 24 years ago he was told he couldnt work around aircraft or fly or be a diver.  He is now a entering his 24th year with the Navy.  The situations on entering the Navy now are a lot different than they were when he went in now the Navy can be more selective of medical conditions and be more picky.  I wish your son the best and hope things work well for him.

Thanks Judy.  My son wants to be a Navy Nuke so God willing he'll get cleared.
