For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Its here on base at the youth center next time you or your husband come on base you should check it out but if you don't want to do them on base I've looked into a few off base just Google it they are a bit more expensive though then the classes they offer here.

Oh and btw, there's a large house next door to where I live right in downtown lemoore for rent for $975/mo if anyone is interested. There's schools, library, parks, shops, pretty much in the middle of everything so its pretty nice. I think its 2 beds not quite sure but has 2 family rooms, 2 fireplaces, large backyard, washer and dryer and fruit trees. Just a little fyi (:

Hi! I don't know how to answer your housing application answer but when we got here we stayed at the navy lodge for about a week until we found a place off base. We also went into the housing office first day we were here and got on the waiting list for a 2 bedroom which is 4 to 6 months long but apparently if u qualify or request a 3 or 4 bedroom the wait is not long at all because there are more of those houses available. If you do decide you want to live on base and are put on a waiting list, the housing office will give you a paper with all the apartments that participate in the RPP program which is where you don't have to pay deposit and don't have to commit to long term leases so that when you are called you can move out right away and into on base. Also if you really want to just live off base, there are a lot of places that you can find here for less than the BAH. We moved into a 2 bedroom house for $875/mo and we just have to pay gas and electric. There's a huge house next door for rent that is for $975 but I don't know what is included with the rent. A lot of apartments around here are pretty cheap as well if you guys want an apartment. I'm pretty new here still too but hope this kinda helps. BTW, I'm transferring to the old navy here in hanford and I know they will be hiring in october if u wanted to apply. A lot of retail stores hire around that time too. Where r u guys moving here from?

Hey navywife27, I suggest you wait to get onbase housing because it convenient to everything you need when your husband is deployed and you do want a home, not an apartment. The waiting list is not long at all. I waited 3-4 weeks and I stayed at the navy lodge for only 10 days (not even 2 weeks). If you decide to live out in town, you will not be saving any money because you and/or you husband will be driving alot and electricity & gas can be very expensive during summer & winter season. Versus living onbase, you can run your AC or Heater all day long. lol.
