hey! sorry for the super late reply! but yeah im in va beach~ i started dating my bf when the vinson was still stationed over here :)happy belated christmas too, btw ^_^
Oh, so you're barely starting out. Good luck with the rest of the time. So far his time in has being going pretty quickly. They were gone on under ways this summer for varying times... anywhere from a few days, to a couple weeks, once even a whole month! But a month is nothing compared to what they're doing now.
Yeah, I got a substitute job, but it's not really a career. I went to school to be a teacher and ultimately that's what I want to do, but it's near impossible to get a teaching job right now. All those baby boomers need to retire so I can! LOL.
You went to FIDM? That's cool! =) Did you totally love it? Yeah, Lemoore doesn't seem like the place to go to for fashion! LOL. Well that's good, at least you have a plan. How's your daughter doing with the whole deployment?
um, idk if I'm gunna move. We've been together for 7 years and still haven't gotten married. Even if we do I don't think I'll move. I have a job here... I'm a substitute. And it's not easy to get into school districts for teaching jobs right now. Plus he only has 16 months left in the Navy and we'd just end up moving back towards home.
Yeah, they're gone a lot, but what can you do... the under ways aren't as hard, but deployments just suck. This is the 2nd deployment this year and it just sucks.
It must be nice that your husband doesn't deploy as much.
Yeah, missing the important dates sucks... beside christmas and new years, my fiancee is missing my birthday, his own(although he's with himself LOL) and valentines. Not as important as some of yours, but this is the 3 year he's missed my our birthdays and valentines. =/ But only his 2nd time missing christmas.
You just have to get through it day by day. That's the only way.... and hope time speeds up. ha ha. I actually live near LA, just 2 short hours to San Diego. My fiancee is ship's company so he's stationed on the ship there.
I'm Jessica... I'm doing ok, just trying to get through it one day at a time. This is our second deployment, but this one seems harder.
How are you doing so far?
im doing better than i thought i would actually. im just tryna keep busy and keep my mind off things but its really been hitting me hard now that christmas is only days away :\
how are you doing?
