I found out about Navy for Moms from Myspace. I'm glad to be a part of this community. Its been over 23 yrs since I was in the Navy. Helping my son through some of the rough spots as he becomes a sailor has been hard for me. Its been awhile. I know that some things have changed. I have counted on my brother to fill in the missing spots since he served 20 yrs and retired just over 3 yrs ago. Being part of Navy for Moms should help me with my son, especially when it comes to his questions.
I found out on the RTC Great Lakes website. I think that it is an incredible way to deal with everything. It made me realize that I am not alone..... and that the rollercoaster of emotions is perfectly normal. :) Great site!!!
I saw a short ad for Navy for Moms on MSN news. I just signed up, have sent off my first question. And have enjoyed browsing and reading thru some of the discussions. I had read the information the recruiter gave to my son for parents but wish they had included a pamphlet on your site. If your site was mentioned in this info I did not notice it at all. Angelam
I found this site in a newspaper ad in Oct. It saved me a lot of confusion. I had answers to things before my sailor did. I love the chat. I have made many friends. It got me through a few hard times. It's the best place for info. Thanks!!!!
I found out about this great site from my daughters recruiter in Pensacola FL. I have only lived in Pensacola for 2 years and now reside in Spanish Fort AL. If any moms have questions about these two areas I would be glad to send what I know. We have many navy friends on the base and may be able to help. Thanks
Last spring when my kids DEP'd i googled a few variations of "navy mom" and there you were. i talked about the site all the time and my kids wasted no time making fun of me for stalking everyones life. Then the USS Intrepid returned to NY harbor I saw the huge billboard across the street , i started seeing you on sides of the bus and even in my favorite magazine. I wasted no time pointing all of this out to them. they still laugh when i bring up the site but i have caught my youngest (she leaves for BC 2/23) on here. I didn't join until today after i read a poem that made me cry- which is really nothing new since my son left for BC 2 weeks ago. Thanks & keep up the good work!
For me it was a commercial on t.v. Isn't God good? Just as my son was getting ready to leave, He orchestrates a commercial. Amazing!

Blessings,
Renee
A girl I work with brought in a magazine, I don't remember the name of it and told me to come find you. I have to say at first I wasn't sure about it, but I was having a really hard time dealing with my son going into the Navy and this has been my salvation. I have met and love so many of you moms, I could not have done this alone and it was a God send for me. All my thanks and much love for being here.
A girl I work with came in my office and had a magazine with an ad. She knew I was having a hard time about Michael going in the Navy. I can't tell you what a God send it has been. I have met so many wonderful moms and love all of you so much, you have definitely saved my salvation. Many thanks to each and everyone.
I was waiting for my Dr. in the room for annual physical check up. I pick up this magazine, turned the first page, and saw the the picture of Navy mom holding picture of sailors sons. Her sons are in Nuclear Program and she talked about the website. That's how I found this website.
PS. My son is in Nuclear Power Program too.

Thanks,

Francine
Hi

I Just found out about N4Ms today in Ladies Home Journal. My son is going next week for his ASVAB testing, and he will be on delayed entry. I just wanted to get as much info as possible. I joined this morning and I have already had many of my questions answered just by reading the posts.
Hi and thanks for doing this site. I found you from myspace, there was a side ad for you and I just clicked on it.
