Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I heard about this site on a commercial on public television. My son has enlisted, but doesn't report to basic until March 2009. I am interested to see if this site can help me learn more about the Navy. My husband was Air Force, my son-in-law is Army and National Guard. I know nothing about the Navy, or the "Navy experience".

I was reading my email & a banner came across with a sailor's picture & something about Navy for Moms, so I clicked on it. I'm surprised I didn't learn about it from the RTC Great Lakes homeport for families site. I've scoured the RTC site several times since my son left, for whatever info I could find, and saw nothing about it. Would've been great to have a flyer or something available at MEPS. I had to find the RTC site on my own, too.

My husband saw the ad on TV and said "You need to go check this out." I am SO glad I did. Wish I had this 2 yrs ago when my sailor was in BC. Love this site. After 4 days I am hooked!

I just found out tonight by hearing a brief TV commercial. I immediately signed on. I had been on Delphi Forums for a while, but this is much better. I wish I'd had this connection when he was out to sea. It would have been easier to find others in similar situations. Thanks for doing this!

Hi All...I am new hear and I heard about NavyForMoms in a commercial on tv while watching Army Wives. I am still trying to figure the site out. I have only been able to get on here a couple of times so bear with me.

I found it by accident googling Navy stuff. I am sure glad to see the ads on TV and I know the recruiters in our local office are now promoting this strongly for families. This site has been a blessing beyond words and I am so grateful for the team that worked so hard to get it up and running...you are all the BEST! Thank you from the bottom of this mom's heart!
