OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son was in DEP since Jan. He knew he would be in the Nuke program. He found Nuke Moms and sent me the link...from there I now am on AZMoms, 900's, PIR 12/05 and Nuke. I am sure after PIR I will find another site for his A School.

I just appreciate that someone started this site. This week I saw an ad in Woman's Day featuring Karen Gallagher who has two Nuke sons. I posted it in my classroom with all my other Navy items.
When my son had his swearing in ceremony for the Cardinal Company we were given a brochure with helpful websites, and when I was at my lowest, I tried Navy For Moms, and found a lot of support and new friends!!

Thankful we have it.
I saw a commercial on tv. That was all I needed. We all have so much in common but find it difficult to share with others because they really don't understand, not because they don't want to bu they can't. This is a great site and I'm so excited to be able to give some encouragement as well as receive some encourgement. Be Blessed
The TV commercial! Anything that says Navy catches my attention and they were great commercials. I would have loved to have this back about 5 years ago when my boys went in but better late than never!!
I saw the NavyForMoms.com commerical on TV, immediately got online and signed up. Been hooked ever since.
I saw a commercial on t.v. during "Dancing with the Stars"! I love this site!!
I saw your commercial on TV. I went right to my computer and signed up. It would be great if the recruiting office had a poster for your site. It would help a lot of moms. When my son joined 10 years ago I was so lost, it took me 3 years to get over the empty nest syndrome. Now I am happy I found your site. Thank you to everyone for thew support.
my husband saw a commercial on TV three nights before my son PIR'd on Oct. 31, 2008. this is the BEST site, i am SO thankful and grateful for it. i told all the moms at PIR who had never heard of it to check us out. thanks you!!
I saw the commercial on TV too. My son PIR'd on Oct 31st also. What div was your son in? Mine was in 410.
I saw an ad in Readers digest, then heard a commercial later on the same night. I finally sat down tonight to take a peak. So i am new here.
I happened upon the site looking for a Navy Mom sweatshirt! But found a great way to get support to deal with my son who left 3 days ago for basic at Great Lakes.
I saw an add on TV and it is a great place.
