I'm not sure, but I think I googled "support for navy mom" and found t that way. Pretty sure, because I google everything.
I actually was told about the website by my son's recruiter. He was at our home & I was telling him about being so nervous about hin joining & just talking to him & he said I could get alot of info from this website called navy for moms or something like that. So I tried it & here I am. My son PIR'd on 09.05 & this website has been a Godsend & I have met a number of great moms.
My advise to all newbies - search every aspect of this website & many questions will be answered.
Thanks N4M's - we all ROCK!!!
I was surfing the net looking for more info about Navy Boot Camp and ran across it. Almost ignored, was curious, looked around and decided it looked like a nice place.....the rest is history! laura
I found this site originally by googling ideas for my son's going away party. Then I found it again the week after he left for boot camp. You all know "the feeling" of your child leaving for boot camp. After the crying subsided a bit, I decided I needed to google again to find out some info about the navy since I was totally clueless. And Wahlah, N4M's appeared to me again. I found a mom looking for mom's of sailors in the same ship/div as my son. I couldn't sign up fast enough to reply to her. This was the greatest thing I could have done for myself. Finding this site certainly helped me get through bootcamp especially! I have also found out so much information here. Navy moms are awesome!!!
Just saw a commercial on NBC about 30 mins. ago. How cool. A forum for the Proudest women in America.....MOTHERS OF UNITED STATES NAVY SAILORS!!!!! HOOYA!!! My son has been in for 4 years 3 months and 2 days!!!! I realized soon enough that I had raised a truly intelligent and MATURE individual.....THAT WAS THE PROUDEST MOMENT IN MY LIFE!!!!!!

I think it was a Navy.com annoucement that mentioned this web-site. I did a double take and wanted to check it out, and this web-site is great. Good job Navy Moms!
