I found out from a commercial shortly after my son left for bootcamp... just in the nik of time...don't think I would have made it without losing my mind. It's great!
I found this site thru the myspace gretting cards for the sailors
I found you from a wonderful ad in the Jan 2009 Martha Stewart Living magazine that a friend gave to me. My son just entered basic training so this is very timely.
I googled "navy moms" and found this site! I am so glad I did!!!
I saw the ad in a magazine! My husband is retired Navy, and I have been out of the loop as far as Navy activities are concerned. While he was active duty, I belonged to the OWC wherever we were, and really depended on that group for support. I still have a couple of years before my son is commissioned, but he is already talking about his service selection. I can't imagine how it will feel when he ships out. I miss him when he is away at college!! I am sure that a support group of Navy moms will be a great asset!
I can't remember, but boy am I glad I did in this first week in my life that I haven't heard my son's voice!
Why don't recruiters give out a family resource packet?
I just found this sight through myspace greeting cards. I belong on the Marineparent website. I am so glad to find this one also.
My sister found the web site in People magazine....now the site is in my favorites.
My son set me up with a my space account. While trying to set it up. There was an icon that popped up and said talk to other navy moms. I hit the link quickly. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! It is so nice to see I'm not the only one who hasn't heard anything. I LOVE the Stennis group..

Thank you again
Vicki
I found you because of a TV commercial... And I am now addicted to the site. I have learned so much about the Navy through the people on this site. A big Thank You to everyone!!!
I found the website in a magazine. Just as I opened the magazine it was right there. It was as though God led me to find this website. It has answered a lot of my questions that other Mom's have about what was ahead for their sons or daughters with the Navy.
It was one of the little gifts my son and daughter in law gave me before they flew out to Boot Camp. I thought it was information only....was I surprised!! I guess they figured I would need the camaraderie. Did I ever! ....oh, and the information is excellent too!!
