Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

One quick question....how is this site supported? Does the Navy pay for it?
Yes, this site is funded by the Navy and is managed by Campbell-Ewald, the Navy's advertising agency of record.
I FOUND THE ADD ON TV I WISH I HAD JOINED BACK IN OCT 2008 WHEN MY SON GOT HURT ON HIS SHIP WHILE ON TOUR FOR 6MONTHS I COULD HAVE USED SOME CONVERSATION FROM OTHER MOTHERS WHO HAVE CHILDREN IN THE NAVY MY SON TOLD ME I SHOULD JOIN HE IS CURRENTLY BACK TO FINISH OUT HIS TOUR AFTER GETTING HURT........
My husband and I saw your commercial when our son & grandson were waiting for their boot camp dates. I checked you out and became a member shortly after. What a great place to be supported and educated on all things Navy. I am grateful to all those who pass on what they have learned through their experience. I promise to do my part. Thanks again!
My son's recruiter told him about this site. My son was concerned about me (as always) so he shared this with me. I love the site and I'm making it just fine through boot camp as we speak! lol
I found this site via an add on Myspace.
I wish they would put the information from this site on the "Form Letter" that is sent to all parents from Boot Camp.
I was looking a mazgine while I was sitting in lobby of a building and had this web site so I thought I check it out since I am a navy mom
Hi, My daughter has been in since 07. I heard about this from a woman who came to my friend's garage sale. She walked up and we started talking; her daughter is in too and she told me about the site. I checked it out (I'm not so computer savie either) and right away felt so welcome, I joined. I'm glad I did, I like it. I appreciate that its monitored, too, keeping everyone safe. Thank You.
Saw the website when I logged out of MySpace....and very glad it was there. Came right to the sight and signed up! Keep putting it out there, there are so many of us!! Thanks!
I found this accidentally. I was doing an internet search regarding my son's rate..just to see what it was kind of all about. One of the links that came up was this site! What a God send! I also, like the fact that it is monitored. Keeps things pretty much on task, while still allowing friendships to grow. Informative, yet casual, no nonsense yet fun.....whatever you are needing at any particular time to help in the journey, you can find here.
My husband was looking at images of Navy carriers on-line and the link for this site was posted on one of the side bars. So glad he found it. This is an awesome sight and very helpful. Thank you to the people who monitor it and maintain it as well as providing such useful info.
