A coworker ( once my daughter's 2nd grade teacher) told me she saw something on tv about this website, but she didn't catch the whole ad. A few nights later I saw it and was so excited! I have an acquaintance whose son is a marine ,so she's been helpful to talk to, but finding this website is great. My daughter graduates boot camp April 18th, so this is all very new to me.
Hi

I saw it on the MSN website. I thought I check it out. Our son went into the Navy March 11th 2008. I just received his first letter. He sounded awesome. He was adjusting well. I am so looking forward to seeing in May for graduation.

Thanks
Diane
I just now found this site by accident. I was looking for things to do for the 3 days we will be there for graduation. I wish someone would have given me this information in Febuary when he left. I know that it would have helped me through the hardest times.
Some info on places I was going to go the Navy Pier, Museums etc but here are some good restaurants if you guys find out anymore let me know.
Trains to Downtown Chicago can be picked up in Glenview/Deerfield it's easier than driving all the way in.
Greek Restaurants to check out:
The Parthenon 314 S Halsted St
Greek Islands Restaurant 200 S Halsted
Italian: Rosebud on Rush 720 N Rush St.
Billy Goat is the Blues Brothers ""Cheeseburger"". South Wacker Drive.
My sister on the other side of the country found the link and wrote me about it....and within days my daughter saw the add on tv and told me about it. It was pretty coincidental, so I decided it was something I shouldn't ignore. Glad I didn't!
I went to google looking for a navy sweatshirt and this site showed up as a choice.
I found you because of my daughter Kat, she saw a commercial on TV and mentioned it to me and the other day she dragged me over to the TV to see the tail end of it. And tonight I had the opportunity to find it. It may take me a while to learn to navigate this site but am glad to be here....AND I was extra excited when a saw a group of moms with kids in Japan...
Thanks
LaVonne
Hi Lavonne, don't you just love the commercials they are comming out with?

We will be 2 months old this Sunday :) cc
I found the site by Googling Proud Navy Mom - I have been shopping like crazy for flags and T shirts and such silliness to show my pride and take up my time waiting for the first call. Thanks to the good Lord it finally came yesterday. I adore the sister hood you all have created here and have spent many hours reading what all the Moms have to say. Thank you!!!! and by the way my favorite T shirt find so far reads "DON'T MESS WITH ME, I RAISED A SAILOR" LOL Best wishes to all and Thanks again!!!
Make sure you check out our mom that makes the goodie bags here. Her name is Sherri
