For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

HOW DO I GET INFORMATION ABOUT GRADUATION?
My son went into BC Oct 1. He is at Great Lakes, IL. I still haven't received the form letter telling me his graduation date and whom is invited. I called the recruiter and he told me that his PIR is the day before Thanksgiving. I normally host about 50 people for Thanksgiving so I now know that I have to make changes for that holiday. No problem. The problem lies in that is all that I know. I never got any form letter or packet giving me instructions and the mailroom in GL won't answer any questions or resend the information stating HIPPA. This is very frustrating. I was asked if he could have sent it to his Father from the GL mailroom and I explained that his Father is deceased. What can I do? The information never arrived???? Please help

No one on the base will give you any info due to the Privacy laws, not HIPPA (that is medical).
Maybe your son sent it to someone else brother, sister, girlfriend, etc...
You can ask the recruiter if he knows the address and write your son at that address. It can take a few extra weeks for the info to get to you. No one on the base can or will give you any of the info, it is against the law. They will not send you info as they do not know if you are who you say you are and for the safety of everyone on the base they can not do that.

He ahould send the info pack in a few weeks with all the info you will need and how many people can be there I think i got mine about 2 weeks before graduration

My form letter came about 2 weeks after he arrived at BC. In the letter will be the PIR date and the # of guest allowed. Did you get your box with his clothes.?
