OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Want to have some fun? We have slightly over two (2) weeks to pack and head to Great Lakes! There will be no cheating ~ LOL We are all on N4Ms several times a day. At least once a day, drop in to this discussion and name one, or more, items you have packed for the trip. The item(s) must be either in a suitcase OR placed in a designated "I am taking this to Great Lakes" designated spot.

You may remember something others may be forgetting...want to have some fun?

I loooove shoes, so i am having a hard time to figure out which shoes to take, have put some shoes and boots aside to bring(my husband thinks I shouldn't bring so many)and then in another pile i put maybes
Too funny! I had this same discussion yesterday. Dad (husband) is going to take his black-shiny-NewBalance-go-fast-shoes! This is actually what we call them. Nurseysis reminds him he can "speed it up" as he is wearing his "go fast shoes." Since he is taking one pair, that means that Nurseysis and I can take at least 3 pair each! I will also be taking two pair for my son (early Christmas gifts). I want to make sure they fit him, as he can't wear them until 2-3 weeks into "A" school. ~kk
Decisions, decisions!!! :)
packed a couple pairs of jeans still not sure what shirts or sweaters, waiting to see what the weather will be. Haven't decided what to wear to PIR
Packing my son's soft robe, we call him Hugh (as in Hefner) when he wears it, lol! He loves it because it is warm and soft. May have to be something I mail him to "A" school.
Just printed my parking pass and have it along with the original letter and password in my GL pile.
I placed my folder with all the directions, information, etc. in my to pack area. Going shopping at Kohl's tonight for some needed items : ) ~ kk
Don't forget to pack the directions to the restaurant for our Meet and Greet!
packed in my to go bag all our passports and of course everyone has their license. My son packed his football cuz they want to play if the weather is good(and apparently even if it isn't)
Oh I also packed tissues cuz I know I will need those
Extra batteries for all of our cameras! Thank you for the passport reminder!
Don't forget to take your proof of insurance (vehicle or driver)!
