Usually the Saturday before the 1st or the 15th we get paid on our card,, but I waited until today because of the holidays. Did we do something to not get paid on time or will he not get paid for this month? Can someone give me some insight because I just relocated to Great Lakes and live in the Navy Lodge, I really don't want to be homeless.

Pay day is not until the 1st of the month and it is in the middle of the week.  December 15th fell on a Monday so pay was deposited the Saturday before the 15th.  Your husband's pay will most likely deposit tonight around midnight.  Your best bet is to call your bank and ask if they have a pending deposit from DFAS.  They should also be able to tell you when it will post to your account.

Don't panic!

He is the only one on our active account. I just tried too tell the bank he is in basic training but they didn't care they only said they couldn't give out any info on the account. I'm hoping the money come tomorrow or on the 1st so I can go to an atm and pull it off. I still have to cover our bills and the Navy Lodge with this check but it seems like it's not going to happen. First I don't get to see him on Christmas and now I'm going to be homeless because he will get paid but I can't get the money. This sucks and I'm lonely. It;s overwhelming. I wanna crawl up in a ball and cry until there are no more tears.

I normally do not suggest this however you seem to be in a very tight spot.

Since you have already moved to Great Lakes while he is still in Boot Camp my best suggestion for assistance is to follow this link:

http://www.cnic.navy.mil/regions/cnrma/installations/ns_great_lakes... or call 847/688-3603 ext 133.  I would explain the situation to them and see what services they can offer you.  The FFSC (Fleet and Family Support Services) are located at 525 Farragut Avenue, Building 26, Suite 300, Great Lakes, IL 60088.  You can also walk in.

You could also contact the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society.  They may be able to assist you financially however I am not sure considering your husband is still in Boot Camp.  You can call them at (847) 688-6830 or go visit them.  They are in the same building as the FFSC (the address I gave you above).

Last but not least you could go to the front counter of the Navy Lodge and ask them for directions to the Chapel.  There is one in Forestall Village where the lodge is located.  A Chaplin or Chaplin's Assistant might be able to help you.

Paydays are the 1st and the 15th, or the day before that if your recruit (later Sailor) has an account with NFCU or one of the other institutions that the DOD deposits to a day early. Paydays are earlier if that day falls on a weekend or on a federal holiday. Payday will be tomorrow in either case since the first is a federal holiday. See the Page, When Will the Recruits be Paid? and Information for Spouses, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones).
