Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."
Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:
**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

My husband left for basic and he made it there safe, he said he'll call me in 3 weeks. I remember his recruiter telling me about adding myself to his insurance, but I don't remember how long I was supposed to wait. Can someone tell me that and anything else I'm supposed to know or be doing?

Click on OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and the Page will open in a new window. Read the Page and follow the directions at the bottom to make change 3 (see the words in bold) so that this page is no longer visible to ANYONE with access to the web. There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
Don't forget to make at least change 3 and to change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted."
Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your recruit.
Don't forget to make the changes below.
Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Since you have a recruit at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted."
Creating the group, Address, was a mistake. I'm sure you meant to start a discussion and not a group. To remove a group, go to your group and click on “Options” in the upper right. Then click on “Edit Group.” Under “Members”, click “Approve all new members” and then click Save. Then Copy the URL to the group and go to “Report an Issue” at the bottom of the Page and click that. Click “Other” if it is not already selected and then ask Tiffany to remove your group and paste the URL. Thanks.
