from what I understood we will get something in the mail within a week or so with their division. I know the recruiters can look it up in the system but I also heard that the info they access might not be accurate?  I guess I'll be praying ALOT for patience lol

My daughter (my one and only!) left on the 10th and I'm so glad I'm on here now to see that I am NOT the only one experiencing all the emotions I am.  She called about 10 PM on the 10th to let me know she made it and I didn't sleep all night :(   I am SO PROUD! but this is way harder on me than I expected it to be.

I understan completely. Its so hard, tbey arw do anazing things nut gosh i eo be glaf when these weeks are done. I miss Savannah, seeing her room kikls me, being home kills me. When my son went in the Air Force 3 yeats ago at least I had her. savannah she is my youngest an its kilming me
Sleeping was terrible for me too! I'm starting a Navy album/scrapbook for my son...I think it's therapy for me while he's gone!

My son left on December 11th.  Hotel on the 10th, Meps and swear in then to Great Lakes yesterday.  I was so happy when I got the I am okay and safe call.  Now to wait it out until I get the form letter and can mail him some letters.  I am so proud of him, yet I am sad he is away from me.

We received another "I'm ok" call today. It went all of 5 seconds! My daughter stated to my husband "Hi dad, just letting you know I'm ok and everything is fine. I love you, bye". Is that common to get a second "I'm ok" call? We were SO happy to hear her voice even if there wasn't time given to respond other than a "I love you too!".

They get a call if they didn't reach someone on the night of arrival and sometimes the Petty Officer in Ship 1 lets them make a quick call while still in P-days. See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

Ugh!!! I dont think my daughter didnt activate her card!!! Ugh i wanna cry

Don't worry. She can activate it and make calls.

I got my husband's box yesterday. Pant legs still rolled up. Really looking forward to the form letter so I can start sending him my letters. I hope that they let him call around Christmas :)

Don't expect a call, but have your phone available between 8 am and 8 pm CST and be pleasantly surprised if you get a call. See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

I sent an email to the calls for recruit email but didn't hear anything back. Do you know how long it typically takes them to reply?
