My daughter left on October 13th and I am hoping this discussion allows me to connect with other family members of SR's who left on or around the 13th.

I'm still waiting for her form letter though so I don't have her ship/div. or PIR information yet.

My son left on Oct 13th as well. I think I replied on another "Oct 13 ship date" but I'm new to this. Lol

I haven't figured it out either.  I have a few different conversations going on.  Lol! I replied to your other post on Oct. 13th as well.

Mine did as well. Only had the call. Nothing else yet.

I got her box yesterday.  Next the form letter.

Our recruiter said my son's ship is 14 and DIV 036
Is anyone going during thanksgiving? I just found out you could "adopt " a sailor (your sailor) for thanksgiving!!!!

Yes, hanncam we will definitely be going for Thanksgiving.

Navymom65...I was there with you at Ft Snelling MEPS. My son is also ship 2 div 906. I called and bugged the recruiter on Friday and Monday for his address and had a letter and calling card ready to send.
We intend to go down to Chicago for Thanksgiving. We are hoping to adopt a sailor and visit his aunt and uncle in the area. We also hope to go down for graduation!
The kid in a box I received had the stamped envelope and blank writing paper in the envelope. NO word written by my "loving son" LOL. I have not heard from him and can only pray he is doing well! His father laughs every time he imagines what he could be doing right now "In the Navy" I am not so sure that imagination is worse than the culture shock of going to boot camp!

Fuzzy Naval Mom,  I just got the info from my daughter's recruiter yesterday but am waiting on the form letter to send anything.  I got a stamped envelope and writing paper too. I used it to write a couple letters to her.
