I left you a welcoming message with a link to the Survival Guide. If you read the information and follow up on the links, you'll get a pretty good idea of what your sailor recruit will be going through. First you'll get the box, then you'll get a form letter with important information - see Guide for a sample. From this form letter, you'll get the address, ship & div numbers. To go your your personal page, click on the MY PAGE tab on the above menu bar.

The below is copy of message.

Survival Guide for Navy For Moms Newbie (clickable link). You'll find everything you need to get started. Videos, PDF files of boot camp processing days, links to all the important groups plus tips on how to use this site. Keep in mind the videos and PDF files may take some time to download the first time you try it. It'll look like nothing is happening. Be patient. Best part is it'll be here on your very own page as a reference. Click the MY PAGE tab on above menubar to access your page anytime - you should do it at least once a day to see if you have any postings on your comment wall (like this one). Good luck.

My son left on the 22nd and we received the "I am here" call Wed evening but I was shocked when he also called on Sunday - what a wonderful surprise.  He told us he should be able to call every Sunday. I wasn't expecting him to call for a few weeks.

Lucky you getting a phone call. How come he gets to call every Sunday? I'm jealous because I would love to hear his voice.

Have you gotten a phone call this Sunday??

My son left exactly one week ago too. I called his recruiter yesterday and he gave me the mailing address, I sent my first letter today. Consider yourself lucky because you got a phone call on Sunday. I got The Box on Friday, I would love a phone call. Contact his recruiter to get address. Good luck and stay positive

I got the box yesterday and the letter today....was surprised they were so close together and so quick.  Not sure why he was able to call Sunday, certainly very blessed he was and hope to continue to hear from him.  He is Ship 02 DIV 923

My boyfriend is in that division as well!

PIR April 13th 2012.TG 22  has  10 Divisions (115–122, 810 & 922)

I am guessing your PIR date will probably be April 20, 2012. I think FireTeamLeaderWife is probably looking for someone to start up the next PIR group - you should consider doing it. There's a great group of vet moms who will walk you through it and help you do everything. Talk to her in the Boot Camp moms group or send her a friend request.

Take care, thank your recruit for us and good luck.

We have a group for those with PIR of 4/20/2012

TG 23 5 Divisions (123-126 &923).
