For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Looking for any mom's who have recruit's that started there BC on or around June 20,2014. Wondering if you have heard from your recruit yet? I'm anxious to hear from my daughter and am looking for anyone who has heard from there son or daughter.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June. You will meet others with loved ones who left that day/week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together.
If you haven't received The Form Letter it will be coming soon since today is day 10 after arrival. She most likely had holiday routine for the first time yesterday and was able to write. A "real" letter would have gone out in the mail today. Phone calls are up to the RDC. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC, Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit, and Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

I'm with you...My son left on the 19th and haven't received a form letter- only the box. I called his recruiter today and she gave me his division and address. Good luck!

What division? Be sure to double-check the address against those at http://bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp or Ship/Division--How it Works.

Arizonasky42, your form letter will be coming. You don't need to call the recruiter. It's actually best to wait on The Form Letter. Why do you think she is in a 900 division?

Because that is what her father told me. I have no knowledge of what the recruiter and my daughter discussed when she signed up, as my daughter lived with her father and his family. So I wasn't given very little information if any at all. So I am constantly calling and texting him to find out any information on our daughter.
I believe that she maybe in the 900 divisions as she was musical in school and in the marching band. I don't know it was just a thought more than anything.

It makes sense that she might be in a 900 division if there was still an opening when she arrived. Some who arrived the same day (actually 06/24/2014 based on your posts right after you joined) have received a form letter and some have not; tomorrow is 10 days since she left and is still the average time for receiving a form letter--unfortunately it is a holiday so mail will be delayed a day. Several with loved ones who arrived on the 23rd received their form letters yesterday. Hopefully yours will be in the mail today. You could check with the recruiter--any Navy recruiter will be able to look up the info, not just hers if you don't know her recruiter--and see what address is in the computer and begin mailing letters Monday if you don't have a form letter then. Be sure to double check the address you get against those in http://bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp or Ship/Division--How it Works or if she is in a 900 division against those in 800 and 900 Divisions.

Arizonasky42, our son arrived at BC on 6/23. We received his box on 6/27 and his letter on 6/30. We received a 13 minute call yesterday. Hope you hear something soon.
