For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

He will have to Phase up before he can leave base for Liberty and it will be several weeks before he can have overnight Liberty. It is usually best to wait about 3 weeks if you are visiting and expecting him to have Liberty off base and about 5 weeks before expecting overnight Liberty. It would be best to ask in one of the groups for his "A" School since although Phasing up is a given at all "A" Schools, it works a little differently at each command. I see you have joined Sailors attending A School in Meridian, Mississippi; you may also want to check out Meridian Mississippi A School family&friends. There are also NAS Meridian Facebook Page and NTTC Meridian Facebook Page. What will his rating (job/specialty) be? There are also groups for some of the ratings that have “A” School there.

Hello
I am trying to find out about liberty. My son will be arriving at the 'A' school in meridian missippi on Febuary 8,2014. That is a saurday so will he be able to spend time with us? we are unable to go to his graduation so we decided that it wou;d be nice to see him before he starts school, and with us living in tallahassee fl it wont take more than 4 hours for us to get there. Will he be able to spend time with us for thst weekend?? please help me i am a nervouwreck yring to figure this out. thanks April
He will not be able to have visitors the first weekend he is there. He must go through INDOC first and then will let you know when you can visit.
