Hi,

I'm looking for new Navy moms from the Nashville/Middle TN area.  Son is a DEPPER and leaves for boot camp end of June 2013.  Would like to make some new friends close to me that are going through the same stages and emotions.

Cindy - I understand what you mean....busy is all you are that Sr year.  I was lucky that Tim didn't leave for almost a year after graduation so I had more time to adjust to changes I guess.  Still - I got teary-eyed thinking of the those days ticking away!

I was looking and Ashley has not posted again since our conversations.....I think her PIR date was today.  Hope all is well and no issues and she is getting big hugs today from her sailor!!!

Kim

One of the other ladies I have been talking with a lot is at graduation today.  I heard from her last night that they made it there safely and she was so excited.  she said she would take pics and send to me.  I can only imagine what it's going to be like.

If you are on your "my page" tab, click on my pic on your friends list.  this will take you to my "kimstn" page.  scroll down and at the lower section you will see a slide show of my photos from Tim's PIR.  You can view all instead of watching entire slide show so you can see the ones from actual PIR and not all of our family stuff at the hotel later that day.

We knew Tim would be in front of his division with the saber so we got there early to get front row seats and best view for pics.  The minute they raise that rolling door and you see the feet of those sailors and know your sailor is in there somewhere - it is the most awesome feeling - I started crying right from the moment I heard the shots being fired in salute ( I think it is a cannon outside the hall) and even before the doors opened.

Congrats polopats!!!!  How exciting!  You'll have to come tell us all about PIR when you get back!  I'll send you a friend request too.

PS: I work in Brentwood.

Hello cos333333 ! I'm from Nashville and my son just finished boot camp this past weekend. If you have any questions let me know! And once your son is at boot camp joining the PIR group he is in will really help you get through. Those ladies will be going through everything with you at the same time and will become your biggest source of support!

Sending you a friend request......

My son left on June 11.  We are in Hendersonville.  What day did your SR leave?  So far no letters and few phone calls.   Counting the Fridays until we see him again.

Hi Stacy! Son left 6/26. PIR is 8/30.

Hello all.  We are in the Columbia area and have a son stationed aboard the Harry S. Truman.  Does this group get together for lunches or anything?  Would like to join you if you do. Thanks.

Jan C - I just this group a month ago and so far, I haven't seen any posts indicating that there is an organized meet/greet activity.   With that said, I think it would be a great idea to start one.   I live in Hendersonville and my son is stationed at Great Lakes.   Would you be interested in starting a quarterly luncheon Navy Moms activity with me?

Jan and Stacy, I live in the West Nashville area and would love to connect with you. My son's PIR is 8/30 and he will be staying in GL for A school.

That sounds fantastic cos333333.   My son's PIR is this Friday.   Woot Woot.  After that, he will be in Great Lakes for at least another 9 months.  Can't wait to see him.   I was thinking somewhere in Nashville would be a central location for us.    We're moving our other son back to University of Alabama the weekend after that.  Busy, busy this month.  So, would Saturday, August 23rd or September 14th work for everyone?
