My SR called yesterday (Saturday), but I missed it! DIV 104, SHIP 14. Is there any chance he'll be allowed to call back today?

Sometimes the recruit still has time and is able to call another person and/or is able to try a person that he was unable to reach, but often not. It all depends on how much time the RDC was able at the phone banks.

Calls are totally up to the RDC. Don't expect a call, but have your phone available at all times (especially from 8 am to 8 pm Central Time M-Th and Sat and from 1 pm to 8 pm Central Time on Fridays and Sundays--calls at other times are possible, but generally indicate a problem or a need for information) and be pleasantly surprised when you get a call. See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

Thank you

You are very welcome.

I got my first call when he said he has arrived and was sending his box home. They can't really talk on the first call, so don't beat yourself up too bad. The next one you won't want to miss(I did and was devastated). So mental note if you screen your calls then program your mind any pay phone call or calls from Illinois pick up no matter what, because you cannot call them back and sometimes they are limited on how long they can take. You should get one more call before they graduate. Expect 3 calls... (1 arrival call 2 free time calls) and sometimes if you are lucky they may earn another. Best wishes to you and your sailor.

Neldy, The call she missed was what you are referring to as the second call (the same one you missed, so you can understand how she feels). It was her first call from her recruit after receiving the form letter.
