Our Daughter finally called home after 3 wks.  And WE MISSED it!!! One sad Mamma here.  Will the recruits get another chance to call home while at BC?

Great that you got such a long call.

But I will remind everyone that no two boot camp experiences are the same. YMMV Keep phones charged all the time and always close at hand, morning, afternoon & evening, any day of the week.

Hang in there!  My daughter called home Sunday and I only got to talk to her for about 4 minutes.  My husband didn't get to at all.  He didn't hear his phone because he was on his motorcycle and I had my phone by me all day, except for the 10 minutes I ran into the store and my mom was on it talking to family (actually reading our cousin the letter she had sent) and my mom didn't know there was a call coming in.  By the time she called back she only had a few minutes left to talk :-(  She did get a hold of one of her friends so we talked to her...Not the same but got to hear what she told her.  Not being able to communicate daily is the hardest.  I imagine for all of us!  It makes me feel worse sometime because we still have family around us, where she is alone...

I missed one of my sons calls. I felt terrible. I honestly cried for two days. The next time he called he didn't even mention it. I was much more upset than he was...it happens...I'm sorry it did and I know how bad you feel. But, it will be ok. Really it will....
