OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I haven't spoken to my son since he left to be deployed. This is when my faith has started to be tested. But oh God, i'm trusting in you, no test is needed because i know you are mine and his Lord and Savior! You have and will continue to protect him. Teach him to trust in You!

Hello. My God give u the strength I am with holding myself. My son left a month ago & I cry everyday. U will receive a call after 2 weeks n mail later on. God bless
Doyou know anything about slashing zeros on mail.

Romepop, if your recruit asked you to do that, then do. See Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit.

Putting the slash through the zero (Ø) helps to distinguish it from an O.

Neitza, Her son is deployed on a ship, not at boot camp.

Check your My Page.

My son got pass booth camp and AVS schooling. I know the navy is very inspirational and it impacted his life. He talked about how much he learned in booth camp, the good, the funny, the cry that it's over. Those stories was funny as all out doors!
Stop crying, trust in God! He's safe. I cried for days and weeks but when i went to see him i couldn't believe how mature and grown up he became. They really teach those kids ethically whats right and wrong. Your son is going to be ok, i will pray for you and you pray for me!

(((((ChildofGod))))) That's a cyber hug from one Navy Mom to another. Hopefully, he will call, email, or facebook when he is in port. He is well and doing what he wants. "No news is good news!" You have placed him in the best hands of all--those of God and the US Navy.

Lemonelephant, i think God for you. You are truly a child of God. They say we are able to test the spirit by the spirit. If your kids are of you, God has blessed them with you for them. I know my son is having the time of his life while i'm sitting here waiting for his call. Thank you navy mom!
