Moms with Seaman Recruits Soon to be Sailors going to GREAT LAKES A-SCHOOL after PIR

Hi Families just wanted to start a group here for the A School Great Lakes Group?

Maybe we could state our SR's job goal.

My Son is Damage control and A school will be in Great Lakes.  I do not know the length of school yet, SR said he would be graduating in Feb-Mar.  Excited for it all.  God Bless all, cant wait to get that call that he earned his BALL CAP  and perhaps sheds his first tear, and he can say proudly "I am a Sailor"

Hi-
My son is damage control as well and staying in Great Lakes! My son thought they would be done about April or May???
That is what I am not sure of because he had thought February March but that does not add up. It is about 10 weeks? glad to meet you though!!!
I thought it was at least 3 months ...who knows!!! I wonder if they will get based together after as well??

We did relay that it is 12 weeks, awhile back right? I have some information to share with you. I will send you an email!

My boy was told when he enlisted that his A school would be GL. He will be a Machinist's Mate,
How long will his A school, do you know?
My son's school?? The recruiter, awhile back, mentioned 9 weeks. At one point my son figured he would be home for a week or so in March. I guess the answer to the $64,000. question will come at the end of BC??

My bf will be in GL for 23 week Aschool for Gunners Mate.

My son is going to A school in GL too.  He will be a Diesel mechanic. He has been sick.  Just heard from him about an hour ago. He went to medical and got some throat losenges.  Big deal...  He said that he will be done march 14th.
