Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I am proud and supportive but scared. This is her journey and I will support her fully. I can't want until I can hear from her.

My son left 2/9. I am going a little nuts myself. It is extremely difficult not having an address or phone number. I am praying we get our form letters in the mail on Tuesday. I received his box of clothes on Friday. I am supportive and proud of his decision to join the Navy but I miss him like crazy. A "I'm doing fine" call would be great!! It's only been 7 days, it's getting a little easier. I try to write to him daily so it's like I am talking to him. When I mail them he will probably get 20 letters in one day. (LOL poor kid). Praying we can have peace with this difficult time!

I have been writing letters to her as well even though I don't have the address. It's so good to hear from others going through the same thing. I thought I was going crazy.

Hey Rita,
My son-n-law and I have not received anything yet and my daughter has been at BC since Feb. 10th. We are ready to get the form letter where we can make out plans for April. It has been hard for me too. I am so use to talking & messaging her daily. I am from Statesboro, GA. and she moved to Pensacola about a year ago with her family. Maybe we can meet at graduation.

My daughter arrived for BC 2/10/15. My son-n-law has not received her box yet. We are hoping it comes this week. Ready for the letter where we can start sending her letters from home. I do understanding how you are feeling. The unknown of what is going on is the hardest.

I understand how you feel. I have two daughters that joined the Navy and a son. One daughter is out now going to college. It was definitely harder when the first daughter left. I still miss my kids, I would love to live close enough to visit often!! And my son is on a deployment right now so I can't communicate with him as easy as just picking up the phone and calling!!!! I will say, it helps so much to get to talk to other moms who have the same feelings and experiences. I'd say it gets easier but instead I'd say we just learn to accept these changes!!!! So know that you're not alone, and you certainly aren't going crazy!!!! That's why we're here - to help you hold on during the stressful times and celebrate with you through all the good times!!!!!
