My daughter swears in tomorrow. We dropped her off at the recruiters this morning and will drive down to San Diego to be there when she swears in. She signed up as a DEPPer a year ago.
Is yours a son or daughter?
Marci
My daughter swore in today and bored the plane at about 2:00pm this afternoon out of seattle. She signed up dec. 14/10. I thought she would have more time but i guess not . time went really fast. I think I was more nervous than she was..lol let me know if you hear anything and I will do the same.
Billie
My daughter swore in at 1:15 today. How old is yours? Mine is 22. Still feels like I was saying goodbye to my baby girl though. She was great! Sounded mature and (pretty )confident. That was probably for us though.
Marci
Marci and Billie--I'll be praying for your daughters tonight. Just relit the blue candle for all the Recruits in BC. Glad you 2 found each other and can keep each other company. I'll check back later to see about your arrival call. Keep in mind that they will be reading from a script and may not sound like themselves. They'll be okay--it's a shock to the system at first. Hang in there Moms!!! : )
Any news yet- Billie and Marci?
She is flying out at 6:30 am. I told her she needs to save her phone charge so she can call us later.
Marci
I got the "I'm here" call from my daughter (19) last night about 10.30p.m. . She tried to sound confident , but I could here the intimidation in her voice. I know she will be alright. If you talk to your daughter tell her to look for a girl originally from Illinios. (short) lol. the one who laughs WAY to loud. lol Let me know if all goes well with yours. Talk to you soon.
Billie
