Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

MY HEAD IS SPINNING
My son leaves Tuesday May 20,2014 for Great Lakes---I am so stressed----I know he will be fine---I just never thought I would be a freaking out....keep telling my self all the practical and positive things about his life----but Im still falling apart.....any advice is appreciated!!!!!

My son went through boot camp last August and graduated in October. And I completely understand how you are feeling! My son and I are very close! All I kept asking myself was, "Did I give him enough lessons growing up to be able to handle whatever they dish out??" And much to my surprise, I did and didn't! They are going to test him to the utmost of his endurance and it will be good for him!! It will make him stronger, both physically and mentally!!! It's hard as another to think that your baby will be going through all that incredibly tough stuff, but think of the man that will emerge from it!!! I'm so proud of mine as I know you will be of yours!!! Hang in there and tell him you love and support him! That's what he needs to hear throughout the 8 weeks of camp, that will push him forward to succeed!! Best of luck to you both!!!

It will be okay, my daughter left May 6th, got my first phone call this afternoon, she sounds good, I'm an "alpha mom" have known about her whereabouts since the day she was born, the seperation is difficult but the pride you feel is better...attend the swearing in, you will see what I mean...I am here for you and the journey is so worth it!!!

How are you doing today? My son arrived there today, (20th) also. I got the call this afternoon. I'm actually feeling better now that he is there and getting on with his journey, but I was a real WRECK for a while before he left!! Hope you are doing okay!

Thanks for thinking of me----he did not leave Monday---some paperwork not complete in his contract because of last minute changes( to his benefit) ---so he is leaving tomorrow---loved having him for a little longer---he is excited---I am jumpy--just not myself--a little on edge--- but I know he will be in good hands---and I will calm down---I really appreciate your comment--my eyes are filling with tears right now--but at work so got to hold it together---have a blessed day!!!!!!
