He left the eight and arrived the 9 th...I got his box already..like a week ago and I got his letter that has an address to write to him...I did start writing to him but he hasn't wrote back..I will make sure to have the phone on at all times ...thank you...

Liz,

My daughter arrived at boot camp on the 16th and (long story) but my phone went crazy and she couldn't hear me when she made her first call (the "I'm here" call).  I was inconsolable, I couldn't believe she would now think that I missed her first call, THE call.  But through the encourage words of the women here (and probably crying and beating myself up for about 24 straight hours) I came to realize and understand that if she was not ok, I WOULD get another call, and I haven't so I know she is ok.  Like lemonelephant said, I hear they get another call in a few weeks or so and that will be the when they can actually 'talk' to us for a bit.  The first call is quick and just an "I arrived here safely" call... I've heard they sound very scripted and to the point..so again, don't worry that you missed it.

It broke my heart that I didn't answer ..I was home just that I didn't hear the phone ring...thank you for the reply it makes me feel better...when does your daughter graduate?

I know, I understand, I truly do, but don't worry it's just one moment in time and you will have many more moments with your husband before you know it.

I, unfortunately do not know when my daughter graduates, her address, anything yet.  I haven't received "the box" with her belongings, I haven't received the form letter, or any type of communication yet.  It's hard but I know it's coming.  I wrote her my first letter today in preparation for when I do get her address.  I couldn't write before today as I couldn't muster anything positive as I was so deep in my grief.  Today is a bit better, thankfully..so I was able to write to her and print out a few pictures to include in the letter.  I am going to write her a letter a day, just so she knows I'm thinking of her always and to keep the positive and encouraging words coming her way.

Everything will get better for us ...they are getting well taken care off it's so hard for me to write happy letters for him I been writing since the day he left ...we will get through it they want to see us happy

Liz when is he due to graduate? There is a PIR group with lots of support and info...they can give you a heads up for calls to (sometimes)

also join Boot Camp Moms...there are some groups for Navy spouses as well

How do I join that ??? Thank you for the help
Thank you so much!!
He graduates July 6

I'm glad I could help. :o)
