My son wasn't suppose to leave until March 2nd, they called last week and asked if he could leave in December, he now leaves the 10th, I feel like a crazy mom because all I'm doing is crying my eyes out... not sure how I can let him go... can't even be strong infront of him.  We are so close can't imagine my life without him in it.

I don't know much right now, and that's not helping.  any help I would appreciate.

Not sure for everyone but I think it doesn't matter when he leaves you will cry your eyes out..I, like you couldn't keep it together even in front of him.. It's been a month for me now and there are times that tears come out of my eyes when I try to say his name.. I think it's normal.. It seems like forever but you'll be able to talk to him soon..keep busy, chin up, keep your phone close and know we all are here to support each other..
My son also left 12/10. I was wondering did you receive you I am safe call yet? I have not heard from my son yet.
Amysue, we received his call the night he left around 9pm. We live in MA. Did he have his own cell phone? My son did...

In box me please...
Yes he had his phone with him. Did he call at base or airport
Amysue my daughter also called on the 10th saying she was ok.
Ty Rezna. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I get a box.

amysue, my son was inboxing me on fb on the plane ride, he was texting and he called from the airport, then he said couldn't text anymore... then I got the call from boot camp, and I could hear people all around him...

I pray you hear something soon!! would he call anyone else? I can't imagine what your feeling, I'm having a hard time and I talked to my boy. my heart goes out to you!!

Keep us posted please..

amysue Stay strong I am pretty sure you will get your box soon, I read it takes about 10 days but it could be sooner.
Ty Rezana. Steph no on has heard anything. :( I guess I have to assume no news is good news.

My son left the 10th and I cry everyday, So it has helped reading these just to know I am not alone

HI MAMASTEPHS. MY SON LEFT TO BOOT CAMP ON THE 10TH AS WELL. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO LEAVE IN APRIL 2016 THEN IT CHANGED TO 12/21/15 AND THEN THEY CHANGED IT AGAIN TO 12/10/15!!!! I JUST RECEIVED HIS BOX OF CLOTHES. I WAS SHOCKED B/C IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN A WEEK THAT HE LEFT BUT UNFORTUNATELY NO LETTER OR INFORMATION WHERE I CAN WRITE WAS INCLUDED. :(   HANG IN THERE. I DEFINITELY KNOW HOW HARD THIS IS.

Hi cadsmom!! I got my son's box yesterday also... was hoping for a little note but he was probably to nervous or scared to write one. I'm really hoping we get the form letter the end of this week.

It's hard that's for sure!!
