for PIR on the form letter he should have written down who he put on the list, at PIR we need id and sailors name, they are originally given 4 spaces (not real tickets lol) those like my son who only have myself going, may be able to add someone elses name to their list, but you would need to know the sailors name, otherwise extra people have to wait till listed are seated then are let in.  this is how it was explained to me.  From what I have read, there seems to be plenty of room they just need to be organized about it.
Well it sounds like alot of you got letters today...I did not. This makes week number 2, although I understand that my son been in touch with other family members and his GF, but just the same I miss getting my letter.  I am counting down the days till I get on the plane!!
I feel your pain.  No letters for me either.  Hang in there.  Count down is on!!!!
My son's GF got her letter....good for her!  ****grumble*** ****grumble****, but he did get a 30 min. phone call, BUT he gave it up for his bunkmate to call home since they just had their wisdom teeth pulled.  Good for my son, but I wanted to hear from him, plus in his letter to the GF he said that he thinks they are holding is mail, said he had not gotten a letter from mail for some time...but I write everyweek at least once or twice as does my little daughter.
Very nice thing your son did for his bunk mate!
I got two letters!!!  Well one letter, 2 surveys (LOL).  He is actually counting down the days to PIR.  I wish I could be there the Monday too, but I have to get back to the real world LOL.  I look forward to meeting all of you too!  Only three short weeks to go. I have wondered if he is getting all of his mail, I keep asking him and he doesn't mention it when he writes. Minkur, I'm very impressed at your young man, to give up his call for a bunk mate.
Well I finally got a letter!  In the letter my son sounds so grown up now and told me about Navy Policy I.A. told me that it would break my heart but if called upon he would do it with pride, he also said this was something that he did not know about before.  Anyone out there heard of this?  I have looked it up and now know what it is.  If you do not know what this is ...you should look it up.
I just looked it up....I had no idea "gulp"
Yeah we did the same thing at least we know now

What Navy Policy are ya'll talking about?

I would like to know what policy you are referring to as well. Can someone please fill me in.
