My son leaves on January 10th. Is anyone else leaving at that time?

I am suffering from slight anxiety.  Does anyone share my feelings?

My son left from Merritt Island and stayed over night in Jacksonville I wonder if they are in the same group?
I don't think so. My hubby flew to GL's and got there at about 8-8:30 pm on the 10th. But probably only a day or two behind.
That is the same day my son flew he overnight in jacksonville on the 9th got there the evening of the 10th.
Oh I see what you mean now! Yeah that sounds about right then! :) Did you get his box yet? Do you have an address? I see that some people have been able to get it a little earlier than waiting for the form letter by talking to the recruiter. I texted my husband's today, but it was after 6, so I don't think I'll get a response until Monday... :( But I have written out two cards and 5 letters (all the letters are no less than 4 pages long too haha!)
My son didn't leave the 10th but he did leave the 11th and arrived last night (1-12-11)  Seems very weird in my house.
my son left on jan 11th, and i will say this has been the hardest thing i have ever had to do. we were very close and honestly i dont think there has been a day thats gone by that i did not talk to him. and then one day he leaves for bootcamp and i dont know anything. Wow.....have you heard from your son? other than the first call? have you got his address yet? what are you doing to keep busy, because i sure could use some ideas.

My son was supposed to leave on the 10th but due to the inclement weather he did not leave until the 12th.  My son and I are very close and now I feel I am missing a limp.  We took care of each other.  I missed his call last night and I am sickened by it.  His message said that I will speak to him in 2 weeks.  Right now all I do is work.  I miss him so much.

Its definitely good to stay busy! But I find that my mind doesn't stay distracted for long. I spend my days writing about everything and anything. Go out and buy fun cards! Maybe organize a letter writing party for friends and family to attend. Or just get a card for people at your work to sign with words of encouragement. And last bit of advice: come here! I spend hours and hours every day on here and its so helpful. I laugh, I cry, but I walk away feeling encouraged :) good luck!
