I am inconsolable.I never knew this would be so difficult for me. My son graduated from high school a little over a month ago and left yesterday for boot camp, My daughter is ten years old and I love her dearly but I am lost without my son and cannot stop crying. I feel lost without him. We were so close we did so many things together, I don't know what I am going to do now that he is not here with us. Has anyone ever been in this situation? If so please respond I could really use some comforting words about now.

I've cooked 2 or 3xs since he's left.  Had hubby pick up pre-made stuff yesterday since I've run out of my stash of meals that I prepared and froze before hand.  I'm just so drained.  I feel like the rainbow before the sun gives her her "Jimm Dean" breakfast sandwich.   (It's a commercial)
That's sweet and funny and sad!  Have you gotten your letter yet?
Hi, magnolia, yeah we've gotten a few.  How about you?
I haven't been able to clean my son's room, yet, either.  Subconsciously I guess I think if I clean it out and repaint, etc, it is admitting "he's not coming back...."  Don't feel like cooking, going anywhere, doing anything. Moody and sulky. I haven't had a really good cry because I never have alone time and there aren't any other females in the house who understand. I've been busy also with a new job and I think it's been hard to focus on learning the job with all this stress.  Hang in there, we don't have a choice! We are moms and we will get through it no matter what!

I think the hardest part about this,is that even when they graduate from BC, they only have a couple days and then off to school. THEN, off to their destination!!

That is why I think I am crying so much. I look in his room and know this is really not going to be used by him again except for short spurts.

Oof that is tough.  My second son asked if he could have SR's room.  I said sure, but you have to help me pack it up and clean it out.  He hasn't mentioned it again.  lol

It's really hard knowing that whenever he comes home again, he'll be home of course, but he'll be just visiting, not staying.

I know! I think that about my son's room too! I find it hard to look over and see his watch, ipod, cologne etc! I mean it's even hard to see his beautiful face as my screensaver! Ugh!!!

I changed my screen saver to a picture of me and my son at his going away party...it's the same one I have as my picture here.  But 2 days before he let he shaved his hair and beard and he looked so awesome!  But I still have his scruffy picture as my screensaver!

magnoliagirl, that's a great photo of you and your son!  He's a handsome boy and you look so proud! I know how you feel!!!
awwww thanks jesses mom!  I'll have to switch it out to the one we took after he "de-scruffed" lol.  He's very dark unlike any of the other kids..we always called him the black-bean now I call him the navy bean! lol..  He's 23.  How old is yours?  and what ship/division is he in 11/283?
Navy Bean...that's hysterical!!! LOL! Mine is 18. Still don't know Ship/DIV...hopefully I'll get that first letter real soon!!! :) Hang in there girl! We CAN do this ....right????
Hello ladies my boyfriend started bootcamp yesterday.. I feel so lost without.. everything in the house reminds me of him I am too the point I can go out to buy anything to eat because it reminds me of what he would have eaten. I am so torn up.. I havnt been eating much lost 5pounds in the last week.. I don't know what to do.. I feel like I will never be ok with him being away. I was so busy being his support that I never realized how it would affect me... I can't even sleep I find my self waking up grabbing the phone so afraid that I might miss his call.. is this normal???
