I wouldn't have slept at all. I'm so
Sorry you didn't get a call. I didn't
Sleep last night much just because
She was crying. She sounded so good
At the airport and then to get a crying
Call kinda took me off guard. My stomach
Is still in knots. I hope this gets
Better soon.
Ladies... my son leaves Tuesday the 24th. Ill say goodbye on Monday at the hotel. Your comment about the son who hesitated before getting off the phone was heartbreaking. How are you and have you been able to talk to him again? I'm a mess.

I haven't gotten the call yet.  His flight was last night.  When do you usually get the call?

Did he have a cell phone with him? I got a call at around 11pm est last night that my son made it to BC. Very quick I'm here, love ya and gotta go!

Yep, he had his cell with him, I'm wondering if it died.  No news is good news I guess.

Yes, it's possible that his cell phone died. He MAY be able to make a make up call this weekend, but not all do. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and Phone Cards and Phone Calls. Yes, "No news is good news!" at every point in this journey from now on.

Thank you all. He also texted me before he got to the airport that he was shutting his phone off to save battery. Not sure if he would be able to charge at the airport. He also had a phone card that's why I was confused about when the call would come.

He would not have been able to use the phone card at in-processing since there are no longer any phone banks there.

I think my other son figured it out.  He put his cell phone account on "hold" and I bet that's what happened!  LOL  Oh well, I'll wait for the letter.  Guess he was too organized!  HAHAHA

:o) Hopefully, you will get a "make up" call.

My son didn't have a phone when he left because he had just broke it. I stayed up all night waiting for the call & it never came, so I didn't think I would get one but he did get to call me the next night at around 8pm IL time. So the call may still come, hang in there.

Great.
