Proud_Aunty925, It does sometimes take 3 weeks to get the form letter, although most are received within the first 2 weeks.  Is it possible that he sent the letter to someone else?  Typically, they do send the box and the form letter to the same address though and you have indicated that you have received that.

Call the recruiter and confirm his Ship and division number and then go to http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp and get or double-check the address.  If you receive a real letter without receiving the form letter, write to your recruit and ask him to send one or at least to send the password that you will need to get the vehicle pass if you plan to drive a vehicle onto the RTC for PIR and to confirm the names of the four people he will list on the Access List.  His PIR date is most likely 10/19/2012, but could also be 10/12/2012 if he was one of the last to fill his division, which is possible since he arrived at the beginning of the week.  You will know which once you have the division number since most of the division numbers have been confirmed within the groups.  The recruiter may also be able to tell you the PIR date.

My son also started August 21st.  Graduates on Oct. 19th.  Ship 09 Div 342.  Heads to Pensacola for A school.  Boatswain ABH

Join the group, PIR 10/19/2012 TG 49-7 Divisions (339-344 & 949), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.  Know that Divisions 341 and 342 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.  There is a discussion within that group for the two divisions.

You may also want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Mom's, PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here.

I see you have joined AB - Moms; you could also check out AB Family and Friends and Aviation Boatswain's Mates Family and Friends. You may also want to join one or both of these groups:  Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!! and/or Parents of A School Sailors in Pensacola

Good morning kareneads. Have you checked out the group PIR 10/19?

My son also left August 21. So hard to believe they graduate in 19 days!!!  I am so proud of them all.  I can't wait to see them come marching at PIR!  Michael loves it and has made a lot of friends.  He is on ship 09, Div 342.
